I would love to share the story of how our farm came to be named Camelot. It was almost Serpentine Farm as that is the shape of our driveway as well as a Dressage term. For whatever reason that was not jiving with us and we came upon our name that was meant to be.

My mother grew up in Woodstock, NY, and her father, Henry Miller, ran a camp called Camp Camelot. I grew up with all these fantastic stories about this special place. Camp Camelot had horses as well; a retired police horse named Big Red, a naughty pony colt named Rusty, Diamond King, with a diamond shaped star, of course, and a pretty white horse named Snow Fire. It also had many folk singers that came and sang there. This included Peter of the folk group Peter, Paul, and Mary, who used to sing the famous song Puff the Magic Dragon before it was known! Like I said, a really neat place. My Grandfather was a great man, a school teacher who loved horses. He died tragically in a car crash when my Mom was just 13. Unfortunatly, I never got to meet him. However, I share his love of horses and love the name of my farm. The same as Camp Camelot and the motto of Courage, Honor, and Integrity.
